Welcome to Newcastle Public School!
Whether you are new to Newcastle or a part of the Newcastle Public School family, thank you for visiting our website. Our current population is just under 700 students, from Year One Kindergarten, up to Grade Four. After Grade 4, our students attend The Pines Sr. P.S. for grade 5, 6, 7 and 8. Our school is “the school” for Newcastle and Newtonville communities. French Immersion is offered from the second year of Kindergarten, through to Grade 4.
Newcastle Public School enjoys strong community support. Our School Council representing the parents, the broader community and teaching and non-teaching staff offer support and advice to improve the learning opportunities for our students. The staff and students benefit from the commitment of numerous volunteers who work in the school on a regular basis. They assist in the library and classrooms, provide support to beginning readers, and assist with special events.
New families are always welcome to our monthly meetings. Support through various fundraising efforts and many sub-committees where work to support the school in our efforts to provide a rich educational experience for our students.
School News is updated on our website regularly, but Edsby (your family’s new best friend) is our main source of sharing news, events and updates for families and students of Newcastle Public School.
